Lurana Shelter opened its doors
in November 1993 as a program of the Franciscan Sisters Benevolent
Society. Due to the expansion of services over the years, the Board
of Directors of the Franciscan Sisters Benevolent Society decided
to create Lurana Shelter Society. In 2007, the Lurana Shelter program
was transferred in its entirety and Lurana Shelter Society became
its own Canadian Registered Charity. (859626384RR0001)
