Convention l Trade Show l Previous Years

The 2010 Convention and Trade Show was held at the River Cree in Edmonton, AB on February 5 - 7, 2010.  This event was very well attended with 411 delegates and 48 exhibitor booths.

Delegates began their participation on Day One with a workshop on Pumps and Controls let by Bill Corey.  Selecting the correct pump for the designed system, reading pump curves, understanding friction loss and other information was shared during this worthwhile seminar.   During the Pumps seminar the exhibitors were busy setting up their booths for the opening of the Trade Show at 3 p.m.

The Trade Show opened on Thursday afternoon to a large crowd of delegates.  Delegates were able to participate in ongoing technical sessions presented by some of the exhibitor sponsors, as well as visiting the booths to gather information and learn about new technologies.  During the evening, a buffet dinner was served followed by a strolling magic show which ran well into the evening.

On Day Two, the Trade Show once again opened for new arriving delegates.  Ongoing technical sessions were offered by some of the exhibitors, while delegates were able to visit the booths and network at their leisure.  After lunch was served, the Trade Show closed and the Convention Program began.

The Convention Program covered one and a half days of presentations covering a variety of topics including nitrogen reduction, cluster systems, timed dosing, troubleshooting, the final report on the At-Grade research at Fish Creek etc.  A full day business program was also offered for those interested in enhancing their time management and marketing skills.

On the day following convention, a training session on the changes to the Standard of Practice was held for those needing to upgrade their PSDS Ticket.
